Acceptable Use Policy

We want you to enjoy Kumanu’s Products, but we have to ask you to agree with some basic principles if you want to download and use our app. Please take a few minutes to review this Acceptable Use Policy.

By accepting this agreement, you:

• Acknowledge that you have read this agreement
• Agree to be bound by and comply with this agreement
• Represent that you are at least 13 years old
• If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that you have the consent to accept this agreement from your parent or legal guardian and that your parent or legal guardian consents to this agreement on your behalf

Our Products, including the content, data, and features, are owned by Kumanu, Inc. and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on the app or use any Kumanu, Inc. logos, trade names or slogans without our consent.

You are responsible for the data you put into our Products. This means you have all necessary rights and consents to enter the data and that you must comply with copyright law. When you put data into our Products, you grant us the right and an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, fully-paid up sublicensable and transferable license to use, modify, display, reproduce and distribute the data. This includes any tips, ideas, or other data you voluntarily submit to our Products as user suggested content; the explicit intent of user suggested content is that the content is shared by Kumanu with other users. Note that we only use the data in ways that conform to our Privacy Policy and our policy is specifically intended to protect your data.

Acceptable use means, but is not limited to, the following:

• You must not undertake any action that would disrupt or interfere with our Products or other users’ use and enjoyment of our Products (including the servers or networks to which any part of the app is connected), including transmitting or uploading any malicious code, malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any type of content or code that is destructive or disruptive in any way.
• You must not attempt to identify any other users of the app or collect personal information from any other user.
• You must not use our Products to harm, exploit, or attempt to harm or exploit any other individual.
• You must not use any type of automated bot, scraper, crawler, spider, scanner, or other device that harvests information from our Products. You may not create an account through any such unauthorized means.
• You must not take any action that would suggest or imply that our Products are associated with you or any other website or entity or attempt to impersonate Kumanu or a Kumanu employee.
• Your use of our Products must comply with all applicable laws, and you are solely responsible for such compliance.
• You must refrain from using our Products in any commercial manner including to solicit business, conduct contests, or engage in unauthorized communication with other users. You may not use the app for any illegal or unlawful purposes.
• You must refrain from copying, exporting or distributing (via social media or other means) the material or content in our Products for anything other than your own personal use.
• You and the entity that provided you with access to our Products are solely responsible for all activity that occurs using your credentials (i.e., your username and password). Use of your credentials by anyone else is prohibited, however, someone else’s use of your credentials does not relieve you of your responsibility. You must keep your credentials secure and you may not transfer (e.g., selling, licensing, or assigning) your credentials to any other person.
• You must not collect, use, or solicit any passwords or other account credentials from other users of our Products.
• You are responsible for the data you input into the app. You also represent that you have all necessary rights and consents to input such data and provide such information. This includes, with respect to any data you put into our Products, compliance with copyright law.

Special Notice Regarding Your Safety
At Kumanu, we are focused on helping our users find purpose and meaning in their lives. Sometimes our users are suffering from mental illness, feelings of worthlessness, or substance abuse, among other things. Kumanu provides information to help users find purpose in their lives, but this information is for educational purposes only, may not produce results in every case, and is not designed to help those struggling with suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harm. Although our machine learning algorithms may identify certain words, phrases or concepts associated with depression or suicidal thoughts, it is impossible for Kumanu or our Products to monitor and identify every potential issue a user may face, and although we reserve the right, we have no obligation to actively monitor or report on content submitted by users. We are not health care providers. Kumanu’s Products are not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any mental disorders. Always seek the advice of a mental health professional or other qualified health care provider. Your use of our Products does not create a therapist-patient relationship or any other confidential relationship.

OUR PRODUCTS DISPLAY THE NATIONAL SUICIDE LIFELINE NUMBER IN SEVERAL PROMINENT LOCATIONS THAT USERS SHOULD USE WHEN FACED WITH SUICIDAL THOUGHTS OR THOUGHTS OF HARM.
