Troy Hollar is Chief Marketing Officer at Kumanu, where he leads the company’s growth. He brings more than 20 years of experience in B2B and consumer marketing, strategy, and growth in life sciences, technology, and media.

Troy Hollar is Chief Marketing Officer at Kumanu, where he leads the company’s growth in bringing our purpose-centered wellbeing solutions to people and organizations. With over 20 years of experience in growing new ventures, developing technology and media, and building brands, he has collaborated with a diverse array of enterprises and people, including Fortune 100 companies and award-winning artists.

Most recently, Troy was national director of marketing and sales at Watermark Retirement Communities, a senior living management company. Before that, he was head of global marketing and communications at Accelerate Diagnostics, a life sciences innovator in infectious diseases. Prior to Accelerate, Troy cofounded Medical Referral Source, a healthcare technology company that modernized the patient referral process by bringing it online. MRS (now part of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Crimson) was acquired in 2013 and is now the mostly widely used patient referral system in the U.S., serving more than 110 million patients.

In 2002, Troy founded MetaFoundry, a New York City–based digital design, development, and marketing firm that he led until it was acquired in 2012. The company found a niche in highly regulated industries, developing scalable solutions for financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and other life sciences companies in both B2B and B2C settings.

A passionate storyteller, Troy began his working career as a theater director and producer in New York, and has created more than 200 productions in theater, film, streaming TV, and live events.

Troy has an undergraduate degree in history from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
